C Trumpets
Versatile and focused
“Why am I not playing this as my primary C?”
Dr Dave Harrison-Wedge Mouthpieces
There are many massively differing designs of C trumpet on the market today and as a result, Will feels that the unique symphonic C trumpet sound produced by great American players in the late 20th century has become diluted. Over many years, he sought feedback from many of the world’s finest players before arriving at the current design which is loosely based on the Bach 25H model as used in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra 50 years ago. This was an unstable instrument, famous for its poor tuning, however it did produce a unique sound. The Spencer C trumpet has excellent tuning, produces a dense colourful sound and is equally at home in both solo and orchestral settings.

Spencer Piccolo Trumpet
Unique and versatile
Due its unique design, the Spencer piccolo trumpet offers excellent tuning and the choice of two supplied bells, allowing players to produce either a warm mellow, or sparkly bright sound. Since the Bb and A shanks are screwed to the bell, the change from Bb to A has little effect on performance as the complexed gap, venturi and leadpipe dimensions remain constant in both keys.
Specifications:
Bore: 0.450″
Leadpipe: Custom red brass.
Bells: Comes with sparkly/bright and warm/mellow bells.
Uses standard trumpet mouthpiece, though a large backbore (Warburton 11 shank) is recommended.
Price £1,750.00
